Oviedo water: from the aquifer to your home

The City of Oviedo describes groundwater wells in the Upper Floridan Aquifer feeding its West Mitchell Hammock Water Treatment Facility. Its Water page links to an annual drinking water quality report and explains how to request a copy.

Confirm the provider on your bill before using that information. The city’s treatment description helps identify your source; it does not tell us your home’s measured hardness, plumbing condition, or required softener capacity.

Check your utility information

Plan the whole-home connection and kitchen separately

Start at the water entry: send a wide photo of the proposed equipment location and a closer photo of any existing loop or bypass. Include the nearest drain and electrical supply, plus space to access valves and replenish the separate salt tank.

Then look under the kitchen sink. For the HW800 AlkaPro tankless RO, we review cabinet space and service clearance, the dedicated faucet position, drain routing, cold-water connection, and power requirements. Removing the storage tank from the design does not eliminate installation checks.

If you are comparing the city-water bundle with individual systems, identify which outcomes matter: less hardness throughout the home, filtration for taste and odor, or a dedicated drinking-water tap. Your proposal names each included component so these jobs are easy to compare.
